Opioid Abuse Prevention Best Practice Webinar Scheduled for October 26

The ND Hospital Association and the ND Medical Association are partnering to further collaborate on opioid prevention best practices for North Dakota. A webinar will be held Thursday, October 26 from 10 a.m. to noon and will include stakeholders that prescribe, license and monitor prescription opioids.
 
For several years, North Dakota hospitals, physicians and licensing boards have been implementing processes and educational efforts to continue to minimize the risk for opioid overdose and addiction. The webinar will bring North Dakota stakeholders together to discuss what is working and where additional improvements can be made. This effort will assist in identifying Opioid Abuse Best Practices to further reduce risk of opioid abuse.
 
Presenters will include Mark Hardy, PharmD, ND Board of Pharmacy; Dr. Chris Meeker, CMO, Sanford Bismarck; Dr. Andrew McLean, UND School of Medicine; and Troy Seibel, ND Chief Deputy Attorney General. Learn more about the speaker’s topics here.
