Dr. Dennis Wolf Recognized for 50 Years of Service

On January 5th, Dr. Dennis Wolf was recognized for 50 years of coroner service at a Dickinson City Commission meeting by Dickinson Police Chief Dustin Dassinger.

For over a half century, Dr. Dennis Wolf served as Stark County’s coroner. In the span of his 52-year career, Wolf oversaw countless cases while working with law enforcement agencies.

From 2009 to 2019, the Stark County coroner’s office received 480 natural deaths, 90 suicides, 75 motor vehicle accidents,10 homicides, eight drownings and several other cases from sudden infant death syndrome to a train accident. Over the course of the past 10 years, Wolf dealt with 730 cases, which averages to 73 cases per year.
