The ND Hospital Association and the ND Medical Association hosted a webinar on October 26 to collaborate on opioid prevention best practices for North Dakota
The webinar shared information on how North Dakota hospitals, physicians and licensing boards have been implementing processes and educational efforts to continue to minimize the risk for opioid overdose and addiction.
Due to demand, the ND Hospital Association and the ND Medical Association are offering the pre-recorded webinar for FREE to NDMA and NDHA members.

Prescription Drug Monitoring Programs

Prescription drug monitoring programs (PDMPs) are a valuable tool to improve patient care and coordination and public safety by reducing drug diversion and inappropriate use. These events include PDMP staff from throughout the Great Plains region in a roundtable discussion on optimizing PDMP utilization.
Part II will focus on best practices regarding PDMP in a variety of settings as well as guidance on how to overcome barriers to utilize the PDMP. The follow-up coaching call provides participants the opportunity to discuss PDMP uses with PDMP staff from throughout the Great Plains.
